Images from Early Banana

SAT 12 APR - FRI 6 JUN 2025

Images from Early Banana features archival film photography taken in the early 1920’s around the Banana area. These photographs were recently donated to the Banana Shire Historical Society by Joan Miller of Rockhampton. Images from Early Banana is the first public display of this glimpse into the past. The archive illustrates the living conditions, social gatherings and industry of the early Banana township; the foundation for the modern-day Banana Shire.

This exhibition is proudly presented by The Banana Shire Historical Society, with the support of EDF Renewables.
