Banana Shire Council (making of local law) website Notice (No. 1) 2019
Banana Shire Council has, by resolution dated 24 April 2019, made Animal Management (Amendment) Subordinate Local Law (No. 1) 2019.
The subordinate local law referred to in paragraph two amends Subordinate Local Law No. 2 (Animal Management) 2011.
Local Law No. 2 (Animal Management) 2011 authorises the making of Animal Management (Amendment) Subordinate Local Law (No. 1) 2019.
The purpose and general effect of the Animal Management (Amendment) Subordinate Local Law (No. 1) 2019 is to:-
- by reference to the planning scheme for the local government area, prescribe areas in which the keeping of an animal or animals is prohibited; and
- by a reference to the planning scheme for the local government area, prescribe areas in which the keeping of an animal or animals requires an approval; and
- prescribe minimum standards about dog noise nuisance; and
- designate an area as a dog off-leash area.
A copy of the subordinate local law referred to in paragraph two may be –
- inspected and purchased at Council’s public office and viewed by the public on the website of Council; and
- viewed by the public on the website of the Department of Local Government.
