The impact of domestic and feral cats have on our native wildlife is phenomenal! Not to mention the diseases they can carry and transfer to our domesticated pets. Like all Queensland Councils, Banana Shire Council enforces that all cats (and dogs) must be kept within your property. To assist in controlling the destruction of native animals, transmission of diseases and unwanted breeding, Council has begun trapping programs throughout the Shire.
