Banana Shire Covid-19 Vaccination Centres

The latest figures released by the Australian Government Department of Health reveal that 41.7% of Banana Shire residents aged 16 and over are fully vaccinated and 59% have received at least one dose as of 10 October 2021.

The highly infectious Delta Strain has significantly spread in other States and Territories and continues to see cases entering Queensland. “We cannot afford to be complacent about the threat this poses to our Shire,” said Mayor Ferrier.

The rollout of the Covid-19 vaccine is being administered via local hospitals, GP’s and pharmacies throughout the Banana Shire. A full list of vaccination centres are available for the community to access via the Banana Shire Council Website and bookings are essential.

Below is a list of Vaccination Centres available in Banana Shire:

CQ Health are operating vaccination clinics every three weeks at the three hospitals in the Banana Shire; Biloela, Moura and Baralaba.  To book a vaccination at one of these vaccination clinics, residents need to register with Queensland Health via the website https://www.vaccinebookings.health.qld.gov.au/registerforvaccination/

The next visit is scheduled for Biloela Hospital 28th October, Moura Hospital 26th October and Baralaba Hospital 25th October.  Biloela Hospital will take walk ins on 28th.

While the Government aims to have as many Australian’s as possible vaccinated, receiving a vaccination is voluntary.
