The new Taroom Waste Transfer Station is officially open as of today! The new waste facility will be open to Banana Shire Residents only, with domestic waste accepted free of charge. Commercial waste will be accepted without charge for an initial period.

General waste, green waste, concrete and demolition waste (C&D), oil recycling, and cardboard recycling will all be accepted. A drum muster is also available on site.

Please note that the existing waste landfill is now closed to the public.
