Roadworks Advice

The Banana Shire Council advises that construction work has commenced on the upgrade of the Eidsvold-Theodore Road, 2.43kms west of Cracow (refer to map).

Work will be undertaken between 6am and 6pm from Thursday 17 February 2022 and is expected to be completed by mid-2022.

What to expect:

Traffic control: traffic control and temporary traffic signals will be in place.  Motorists and pedestrians are reminded to exercise caution and observe all warning signs, speed restrictions and traffic controller / lights directions during the works.

Access: temporary measures will be in place to ensure access to private properties is maintained at all times.

Noise, dust, and vibration: audible noise, possible dust and localised vibrations from construction activities and heavy machinery. Reversing alarms and flashing lights are a safety requirement and will be used at all times during works.

Increased construction traffic: an increase in construction / heavy vehicles near work areas will occur during construction.

The project team will continue to keep nearby residents, businesses, motorists, and key stakeholders updated throughout construction.
