Banana Shire Council is proud to support NAIDOC Week and we are excited to launch our colouring-in competition for 2022 featuring two artworks by local artist Susan Cook.

This year’s competition is for primary school-aged children with two different categories of Prep-Grade 2 and Grades 3-6. Colouring in pages can be downloaded here or copies are available from any of our Customers Service Centres or Libraries.

An electronic tablet is on offer for the overall winner, with winners of each year's level receiving a wonderful prize package consisting of a NAIDOC Week bag, pencil case, art supplies, certificate and other goodies. Prizes will be presented by the Mayor or Local Councillor on schools parades following NAIDOC Week. All entries will also be on display in the Banana Shire Regional Art Gallery from Monday 4 to Friday 8 July.

Competition entries must be received by 5 pm Friday 24 June and winners will be announced Monday 4 July via Council’s website, Facebook page and an email to schools.

Please note we are unable to accept electronic entries, however, entries can be dropped off at any of the Council’s Customer Service Centres or Libraries.

For further information contact Council’s Community Development Team on 4992 9500.
