Temporary Water Transfers – Dawson Valley Scheme 2022
Council currently has a quantity of water allocation available for temporary transfer in the Dawson Valley during the current water year (ending 30 September 2022).
The following approximate nominal allocation amounts are available for temporary transfer: -
- 20ML – section K – High Priority
- 105ML – section I – High Priority
- 350ML – section G – High Priority
- 105ML – section G – Medium Priority
- 50ML - section D – High Priority
- 100ML - section C – Medium Priority
Accordingly, Council invites Expressions of Interest (EOI) for temporary transfer of all or part of these available amounts.
Council will consider offers that are the most advantageous to the Council, but reserve the right to not necessarily accept all or any particular offer/s.
All costs including any Sunwater charges are to be met by those seeking the temporary transfer/s.
EOI’s close on Monday 22nd August 2022 at 5pm and must be submitted on the TEMPORARY WATER TRANSFER EXPRESSION OF INTEREST FORM available by download here https://www.banana.qld.gov.au/online-services/download/forms, or by contacting enquiries@banana.qld.gov.au. The completed form may be emailed, hand delivered or posted to be received at the Council’s Administration Office in Biloela by the nominated closing date.
EOI’s should:-
- Be marked for the attention of the Chief Executive Officer;
- Be Titled “EOI - Temporary Water Transfer – Dawson Valley Ground Water Scheme 2022”
- Contain details of the quantity of water sought (in ML) and price offered to Council per ML for the temporary transfer amount.
- Be submitted on the approved form
