PSA **Attention Moura Residents **

Moura Aerodrome receives approval for all RFDS aircraft operations.

Banana Shire Council has given their approval for RFDS to use the B350 Aircraft at Moura.  The B350 aircraft is bigger and better with greater capacity and range. This aircraft was recently added to the RFDS fleet. However, since it is slightly heavier, Council needed to complete its pavement assessment to provide permission to the RFDS. The assessment was carried out by technical experts and based on it; Council has given permission for RFDS to use B350 aircraft at Moura.  The Council is continuously monitoring the impact of the heavier aircraft on the pavement and will undertake actions to support the B350 aircraft.
