Council apologises for any inconvenience in attending to damaged roadways and infrastructure within the Shire as a consequence of recent rainfall events.

Due to the widespread nature and intensity of the rainfall event experienced across the Shire, Council must prioritise the repair of damaged infrastructure based on safety to the community first and then restoration of access into properties second.

As Council currently has limited resources and personnel to ably attend to all matters across the Shire – it is critical that the Community show some patience and understanding to Council Officers in attending to the repairs in your area.

We are working on gathering additional resources to provide support to residents in affected areas.

Banana Shire Council wishes to advise residents that we are largely aware of the road conditions within the shire after the recent rain events.
