Assistant Minister for Local Government Ali King said the Miles Government was investing in communities right across the state, with the Melton Park project receiving $60,000 through Works for Queensland.
"Our Works for Queensland program ensures that 65 councils in regional Queensland, get community infrastructure they need and make these regions even better places," Ms King said.
"This is delivering good jobs where they are needed most, with Banana Shire Council advising this project will support six jobs."
Installed on January 19th, 2024, the construction of the shade sails was completed over a span of six months.
