Banana Shire Council Announces Successful Candidates in Local Government Elections
The results of the Queensland local government elections held on Saturday 16th March 2024 have been officially declared by the Electoral Commission of Queensland, confirming the newly elected members for Banana Shire Council.
Banana Shire Council Mayor Nev Ferrier has been elected unopposed showing the communities support and confidence in his leadership.
Additionally, three divisional Councillors were elected unopposed.

Banana Shire Council CEO Tom Upton said, “I extend my congratulations to the successful candidates, and I look forward to their contributions to Council. Additionally, I would like to extend our appreciation to outgoing Councillor’s Cr Judy Pender, Cr John Ramsey and Cr & Deputy Mayor Colin Semple for their dedication and service over the past four years.”

The new look Banana Shire Council will sit for the first time on the 4th April 2024.
