Banana Shire Support Centre (BSSC), in partnership with the Banana Shire Council have launched a housing survey aimed at gathering insights from residents and businesses to address housing shortages in our community.

The housing survey aims to gain a comprehensive understanding of the current housing situation, identifying key issues, gaps and opportunities.  By taking this information from our residents and businesses, targeted solutions can be developed that address the needs of the community.

Banana Shire Council Mayor Nev Ferrier said, “The housing shortage is one of the biggest priorities for Council.  We want to hear from everyone in our community so we can make informed decisions on how to tackle this problem.”

The survey is available online and takes approximately 10 minutes to complete. Conducted via Survey Monkey, it is made for user convenience. All survey responses will remain anonymous and confidential.

Banana Shire Support Centre and Banana Shire Council are urging residents to take the survey. Mayor Nev Ferrier added, “By working together we can help make sure housing affordability and accessibility is available to everyone in our community, now and for the future.”
