Banana Shire Council, in partnership with the Queensland Government, are conducting a Walking Local Government Grant Survey, offering residents the chance to influence the future of walking infrastructure in our community.

Residents, businesses, and local interest groups are encouraged to share their views on where walking infrastructure is most needed and which projects should take priority. Your feedback will directly inform the decisions made by Council and contribute to the creation of safe, convenient, and enjoyable walking environments for everyone.

Taroom, Moura, and Biloela have been selected to participate in the first round of the program Council has identified key locations within each participating town, including local schools and community hubs, as areas with heightened walking participation and potential for improvement.  In the survey, participants will have the option to select from these identified locations or propose their own suggestions.

Now is the time to have your say and help shape the future of walking in Banana Shire. Take the survey today and make your voice heard!

Together, we can create a community where walking is not only encouraged but celebrated as a part of daily life.
