Banana Shire Council is excited to announce that Splash-A-Bout Swim School Management Company has been selected to operate the Biloela and Moura Aquatic Centres, starting 1 July 2024.

Following the announcement that the current manager, Aqua Culture, has chosen to transition into new endeavours, Council embarked on a rigorous tender process. Consultation with community groups that use our aquatic facilities occurred during this process to ensure the needs of the community were represented by the new operator.

Splash-A-Bout comes with a wealth of experience, including over 16 years of swimming school management. Their management team holds qualifications such as a Bachelor of Sports Science and Australian Swimming Coaches Association Silver level coaching qualifications.

Managing Director of Splash-A-Bout, Mr. Shane Kingston, said: "My team and I are excited to have been offered this opportunity to be a part of the Biloela and Moura communities. Our management style ensures we regularly engage with our customers and the wider community in the delivery of services. It is our commitment to support the local community by providing employment opportunities for locals based in both Biloela and Moura. We will be undertaking recruitment prior to the start of the new pool season."

The pool season will commence in September 2024. As the transition of management operators takes place, Banana Shire Council officially wishes Aqua Culture much success in their future endeavours.
