Banana Shire Council Proudly Supports the Seventh Festival of Small Halls Spring Tour
Banana Shire Council is pleased to announce its support for the upcoming Festival of Small Halls Spring Tour, taking place at the Theodore RSL Hall on Thursday, September 26. This year's festival features the talents of international artist Kellie Loder from Newfoundland on their first Australian tour, alongside the renowned Queensland folk duo, Van Dijk & McDonald.
Mayor of Banana Shire Council, Cr Nev Ferrier said, " We are proud to support this wonderful event and showcase international artists like Kellie Loder and our very own Mackenzie May. It's an excellent opportunity for local residents and visitors to come together and enjoy what promises to be another unforgettable evening of music."
Theodore’s event will begin with a performance by local support act and CQ-based musician Mackenzie May, a native of Banana Shire who is rapidly gaining recognition in the country music scene with her authentic sound.
Presented by Woodfordia Inc, the Festival of Small Halls is a not-for-profit music tour now embarking on its 41st journey. The tour includes twenty shows across outback Queensland over four weeks, starting from Muttaburra’s red dirt, through the South Burnett and Banana regions, to the border towns of Texas and Ballandean, and concluding in Mapleton.
Dinner and drinks will be available for purchase from 6:00 PM, with the main show starting at 7:00 PM. Tickets are priced at $20, with children 15 and under admitted free. Tickets can be purchased online at festivalofsmallhalls.com or at the door, subject to availability.
