Banana Shire Regional Art Gallery Announces 28th Brigalow Arts Festival

Banana Shire Regional Art Gallery has announced the 28th annual Brigalow Arts Festival, to be held on Friday, October 4th, 2024. This year's festival, will be part of the Biloela Centenary celebrations, embracing the theme ‘Memory’, showcasing artists from across various mediums including sculpture, textiles, painting, and photography.

 

The Brigalow Arts Festival is the premier arts and cultural event in Banana Shire, offering local and regional artists a platform to exhibit their works with some winning cash prizes and acquisitions. Celebrating 28 years of artistic excellence, the festival is open to artists at all career stages, from emerging talents to established professionals.

 

Mayor of Banana Shire Council, Cr Nev Ferrier said: “Each year, we are proud to provide a space where the creativity of local artists is celebrated. This year’s theme 'Memory' during our centenary celebrations adds a layer of significance to the artworks displayed."

The festival will also feature a distinguished judging panel. These Judges will offer their expertise in the selection of awards as well as share their creative experience through a workshop held on the morning of Saturday 5th October.
