List of Christmas and New Year Operating Hours 

Council Administration Offices

Both the Banana Shire Council Chambers in Biloela and the Taroom Administration Centre will observe the following holiday hours:

Close: 3:00 PM, Tuesday, December 24, 2024

Re-open: 8:00 AM, Thursday, January 2, 2025

Libraries and Moura Museum

All Banana Shire Libraries, including the Moura Museum and Library as well as the Moura Customer Service, will adhere to the holiday schedule below:

Close: 3:00 PM, Tuesday, December 24, 2024

Re-open: Normal operating hours beginning Thursday, January 2, 2025

Waste facility closures

Biloela, Moura, Banana and Taroom Waste Transfer Stations are all closed on Christmas Day only.

Trap Gully Landfill, Biloela is closed all Public Holidays.

Baralaba, Wowan, Jambin, Theodore, Thangool and Cracow Waste Transfer Stations are automatic gated facilities - gates are closed at 7.00 pm and re-open at 5.00 am each day. Open every day.

Kerbside Wheelie Bin Collection

Please note that kerbside wheelie bin collection services will continue as normal, including  all public holidays.

Councils Animal Management Facility

Will be closed from 24th December 2024 until 2nd January 2025.

Closed to the public from Friday 13th December, reopening Thursday 2nd January.
