Banana Shire Council formally adopted its 2023-24 annual report during the 20th November 2024 Ordinary Council meeting.

A $65 million capital works program was executed, aimed at enhancing community facilities and public infrastructure, including over $50 million invested in road maintenance and upgrades.

Significant projects completed this year include the Moura Museum and Library, and the development of the Splash Park at Biloela Lions Park, set to open by summer 2025.

Banana Shire Council Mayor Nev Ferrier said, “This year's report reflects our Council’s commitment to maintaining and enhancing our community's infrastructure and services. We have directed our resources to ensure continued growth and stability across the Shire.”
