Banana Shire residents are invited to download the free Recycle Mate App

The App will show you the best way to recycle or dispose of an item.

It’s simple – take a photo of an item, using the App and it will tell you:

• if its waste and where to dispose of it (wheelie bin, landfill or waste transfer station)
• If its recycling and where to recycle it (blue lidded wheelie bin, landfill or waste transfer station or maybe a non-profit organisation, like Vinnies)
• The App will show you all these locations on a map of Banana Shire, making it easy to find the nearest drop-off point
