Free Craft Activity - Castle of Tarragindi

SAT 15 JUN 2024: 10:00 AM - 12:00 PM

Children and families are invited to take part in a range of fun, free art-making activities by contemporary Australian artist Natalya Hughes.

Decorate and assemble a paper vessel, make elaborate patterns using printed paper, and take part in self-portrait drawing activities.

The Castle of Tarragindi on Tour is free QAGOMA Touring program available to regional Queensland communities.

Pressing Matters Plaster Relief Workshop with Bruce Reynolds

Plaster Relief is a technique used to cast uniquely carved designs into plaster panels. Relief formally sits between drawing or painting and sculpture and can be described as art in two and a half dimensions.

In this workshop, participants will be instructed by artist Bruce Reynolds in his relief process. Participants will have the opportunity to carve a unique designs, cast them into a panel and add colour using hand colouring techniques. Each participant will create a sculpture ready to be hung.

Light lunch will be provided. Ages 12+
